Installation Instructions

Ski-Doo QRS Clutch Roller Installation Instructions:

Refer to clutch roller replacement instructions in the appropriate service manual for your snowmobile.
**Remove the “E” clip (2008-2011) or the spring pin (2012-current) before removing stud**

Specific to Hi-Torque Rollers Part #S-SD-QRS-010:

  • Always polish any roughness from the stud rolling surface. If roller doesn’t turn freely (coating thickness varies from stud to stud) polish the black coating with 400 grit or finer abrasive paper until it does.
  • Apply Loctite only to clutch housing threads, never to the roller pivot stud threads, as any Loctite in the roller bore will lock the roller, ruining it when put into service.
  • Place 8mm lock washer on pivot stud, then guide stud through clutch housing hole. Next onto the stud is the provided stainless washer. At this point, to maintain proper side clearance **the roller must be installed with the shiny face that has our logo against the washer**.
  • Lastly, the stud engages the threaded hole in the housing, then reinstall the “E” clip or spring pin.

Ski-Doo Super Wide Track QRS Clutch Roller Installation Instructions:

Refer to clutch roller replacement instructions in the appropriate service manual for your snowmobile.
**Remove the “E” clip (2008-2011) or the spring pin (2012-current) before removing stud**

Specific to Hi-Torque Rollers Part #S-SD-QRS-SWT:

  • Always polish any roughness from the stud rolling surface. If roller doesn’t turn freely (coating thickness varies from stud to stud) polish the black coating with 400 grit or finer abrasive paper until it does.
  • Apply Loctite only to clutch housing threads, never to the roller pivot stud threads, as any Loctite in the roller bore will lock the roller, ruining it when put into service.

Ski-Doo HPV Clutch Roller Installation Instructions:

Refer to clutch roller replacements instruction in the appropriate service manual for your snowmobile.

Specific to Hi-Torque Rollers Part #S-SD-HPV-003:

  • Place the roller onto the stud with the shiny face of the roller (that has our logo) towards the stud head.
  • Then proceed to place the OEM washer and then circlip on the stud after the roller.

Yamaha Sidewinder Clutch Roller Installation Instructions:

Refer to clutch roller replacements instruction in the appropriate service manual for your snowmobile.

Specific to Hi-Torque Rollers Part #Y-YM-SW-030:

  • Place the washer towards the outside diameter of the clutch.
  • Place the shiny face of the roller (that has our logo) against the washer.

Arctic Cat (2012-2019) Clutch Roller Installation Instructions:

Refer to clutch roller replacements instruction in the appropriate service manual for your snowmobile.

Specific to Hi-Torque Rollers Part #S-AC-AC-020:

  • The pivot bolt passes through the lock ring, the threaded hole, the provided washer, and then the shiny face of the roller (that has our logo) goes against the washer.
  • Apply Loctite 262 (Red) only to the exposed threads of the pivot stud as any Loctite in our precision fit pin bore will lock the roller.

Ski-Doo QRS Secondary Clutch Bushing Installation Instructions:

Part #Bushing-055

Please use safe practice for removal and installation of bushings (including eye protection):

  • HTR suggests cutting most of the way through the bushing to be removed using a rotary tool with a small ball burr, preferably at the existing split in the bushing to relax the interference fit
  • Use Loctite green (648 or equivalent) sleeve retaining compound on outer side of bushing and on surface of fit
  • Install new bushing using a properly sized bushing push tool and preferably a hydraulic press .
